Saoul Mancha, OD, is a licensed optometric glaucoma specialist. Dr. Mancha graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with his Doctor of Optometry and then furthered his education by completing a postdoctoral residency training in primary care and ocular disease. During his residency, he trained under various ophthalmic surgeons with specialties in glaucoma, retina, and cornea. Dr. Mancha has also trained at the Fort Sam Houston base in San Antonio, Texas in specialty contact lenses for the treatment of various corneal pathology.
Dr. Mancha is a very skilled and knowledgeable clinician who is dedicated to delivering each patient with the utmost quality of care. During your comprehensive eye exam, Dr. Mancha will evaluate the entire eye from front to back to help identify any eye problems you may suffer from. He will also inform you if you have any underlying or undiagnosed glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes, dry eyes, or other eye problems.
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Mancha remains active in numerous research studies to further treatment options for future patients. Dr. Mancha also participates in multiple medical mission trips to Mexico to strengthen international and interprofessional relationships while providing vision-saving care to impoverished communities.
